I come to you with over a decade of public safety experience stimming from my time in emergency dispatching, law enforcement, the healthcare field, and as an Investigator with the Wayne County Coroner’s Office. I worked for the Office of Coroner during most of Ret. Coroner Stevens’ tenure. During my time as a Deputy Coroner, the respect, professionalism, and investigative techniques within the office have never been seen before.
I cannot begin to express how significant this election is for our citizens. The Coroner and his deputies are entrusted by the public to ensure their family member is cared for after their final moments on earth. You are expected to provide compassion, respect, and dignity while also making sure a proper investigation is complete so you can provide the survivors closure, and in some cases, justice. If you fail to provide the three aforementioned, and do not follow proper procedures, direction from pathologists, and law enforcement officials, you have failed your constituents, the people that trusted you with their loved one.
Meadows, who worked for the Wayne County Coroner's Office, brings over 40 years of experience in public safety, infused with compassion, honesty, and most importantly, integrity. The direction for the office that Meadows has only benefits the families we serve.
Meadows wants to make the office stronger, more professional, educated, and accessible. Meadows has plans to put together a team of investigators who encompass the same values and experience.

Brent has 40 years of impeccable service within our community, State, and Nation. He has trained public safety members all the way up to the F.B.I. Brent was previously a Deputy Coroner in Madison County, Indiana, for many years and served as a Deputy Coroner here in Wayne County under Coroner Ron Stevens. He does so with the utmost empathy, respect, and integrity at every scene, every time. Brent also has the endorsement of Coroner Ron Stevens and those with extensive Coroner's Office experience. Furthermore, Brent has support from our local and county law enforcement, fire service, and EMS members.
Brent has many plans for the Coroner’s Office:
•Increase training for Deputies
•Increase transparency with finances and other governmental processes
•Easier access to Coroner Records for grieving families
•Seek better relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement
• Increase professionalism and investigative techniques within the office
•Offer training opportunities for local law enforcement to better death investigations
•Accomplish an accreditation process to ensure the best techniques are being used
•And so much more!
Mr. Meadows has excellent plans for the Coroner Team which will include those with vast experience and knowledge in the medical field and investigations.
