Plans for the Office of Coroner

Families have voiced that it is sometimes hard to access their loved ones records. We will make sure families have access to Coroner documents by just a click of a mouse, or a phone call. It is the right of the survivors to know updates, minute by minute.

With the support of County Officials, I will achieve an accreditation status by the International Association of Coroner's and Medical Examiners. This will ensure the best investigative practices are being used while holding us accountable to our policies and procedures.   

Every day is an opportunity to learn something. We want to work with not just our staff, but other organizations and government agencies to train them to better respond to incidents.

We want to work with local and state officials to bring more education to our youth. We want to ensure our youth know the dangers of narcotic use, and the life long , and potentially deadly consequences.  

As a governmental agency, it is our job to maintain communication with the public by sharing safety tips, statistics, and information that would be helpful in everyone's day to day life. We will ensure statistics are released on a monthly basis and will be easy to access. 

When we show up to your home during your worst nightmare, the investigator should be properly uniformed, well prepared, and provide a level a knowledge that when they leave, you should have no questions left to ask. Our investigators and I will be available to you at a moments notice and will always provide you answers about your loved one.

We are the agency responsible in determining the cause and manner of every death that occurs in our jurisdiction. This means we interact with many governmental agencies, public safety professionals, healthcare facilities, and funeral homes. These positive relationships are key when it comes to each investigation. I will ensure these relationships are maintained at a high quality so that you and your loved one are handled with the highest of respects.  

I will hold my investigators and myself to the highest of standards. I will guarantee that all reports, investigations, and follow up are completed with every case. I will make certain that survivors are treated with the upmost respect, dignity, and compassion by not only my office, but by anyone who steps foot into your home, hospital room, or wherever you or your loved one may be.
